Karin Adams is the author of Frostbite HotelLights! Curtains! Cows!No TV? No Fair!, and My Best Friend Is a Viral Dancing Zombie. She shares her passion for creative writing with young people through Manitoba's Artists in the Schools program and in her popular library workshops. Karin has also worked as an instructor at the University of Winnipeg. She lives in East St. Paul, Manitoba.

 

 

Janine Carrington specializes in illustration. She was taught the basics of drawing at an early age by her father and continued her artistic education at the Etobicoke School of the Arts, and Ontario College of Art and Design. She lives in Toronto, Ontario.

 

   Lorna Schultz Nicholson has written picture books, middle grade and YA fiction, and non-fiction. She has also written, produced, and hosted programs for television and radio, and is well known in Western Canada for her print journalism, including sports writing. Lorna regularly visits schools to share her passion for literacy with students. She lives in Edmonton with her husband and their two dogs.  

 

Laura Peetoom has written about mermaids, maps, and many other subjects. In addition to being the author of several books for children and young adults, Laura has worked extensively as an editor. She lives in Markham, Ontario.

 

 

Kevin Frank is an internationally syndicated, award-winning cartoonist and illustrator. He lives in Lindsay, Ontario.  

 


 

Aaron Lam is a writer and producer of documentaries about hockey, theatre and health. His nonfiction and poetry have appeared in magazines and films. He lives in Oakville, Ontario.

 

 

Kean Soo is a cartoonist and creator of the popular children's comic character Jellaby. He was selected for TD Canada's Children's Book Week tour in 2016. He was born in Hong Kong and now lives in Canada.
